A Riverside Walk At Kegworth 3/7

Life in the village of Kegworth is inextricably linked to the River Soar, which meanders through the low-lying flood plains and round the eastern and southern edge of the village. Many villagers, as well as people from much further afield, enjoy walking, bird watching, fishing, and picnicking along the banks; and boating has always been popular bringing in visitors from a wide area.

It looks very inviting, Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is Ray, we will have to go back sometime in the summer.
Its a very English scene Brian.
Brian Walbey: Couldn't be anywhere else Frank.
J'aime le clocher qui émerge des arbres.
Brian Walbey: Kegworth has a really nice village church, that is the tower.
it is good to see the residents around here do not include industrial use of this river, Brian. and a nice shot of this place.
Brian Walbey: Mainly canal boats these days for leisure Ayush.

You know how to pick the wonderful places to be, Brian. This is such great view.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, we have lots of lovely places to go near where we live.
If I didn't live here in the Netherlands, Brian, I'd want to live in England, to explore every square inch of it possible!
Brian Walbey: Forgetting our political issues at the moment Ginnie I wouldn't live anywhere else, the area we live in has so much to see and do and yet is probably different to much of what you've seen in your various visits over here during the last few years.

The grassy banks invite a picnic. With chilled white wine, watching the evening unfold.
Brian Walbey: No doubt they do Louis, but this being a schoolday in February we had the river almost to ourselves, it will be a lot busier in the summer.

a nice composition with the church tower and the lock bridge.
Brian Walbey: We hadn't realised it is quite so nice there, it's only a few miles from us and it's taken nearly 30 years since we moved to the area to visit.
This is charming with the lock and the spire in the background
Brian Walbey: On reflection, no pun intended, we should ahve done this walk before, it's only about 10 minutes from us and we've lived here 30 years!
You've captured the light beautifully, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme, it was a fine afternoon.
I love the movement in this shot very much.
