photoblog image An Afternoon Stroll 4/5

An Afternoon Stroll 4/5

As a sort of homage to our late SC friend Richard Standley (standley) I thought I would post a short series of images I took recently when Maureen and I went for a short afternoon walk at Ulverscroft, near Leicester. Richard never actually showed us the destination of his various walks and this set will echo this right through to the last image tomorrow.

I keep wondering "What is around the next corner?".
Brian Walbey: That is why I've dedicated this series to Richard, he kept us wondering every saturday.
I'm enjoying this walk... and Mary's song of the day: "Hello in There", is a nice soundtrack for this!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth. Also thanks for the comment about Mary's song of the day, it is so touching. I am doing an Audio/Visual presentation on Tuesday afternoon to the Ladies fellowship at a local parish church and I will down;oad that song video and replace one of my planned sequences with it, all of the people there will be of a 'certain age' and hopefully it will say to them what it said to me.

I wonder what's round the bend?
Brian Walbey: As with Richard's Saturday walks you will never actually find out, it remains for only me to know.

I would welcome this shady area.
Brian Walbey: Most of this path is shady like this. BTW it starts at an excellent, and very popular, tearoom, this stroll was post lunch.

There was me wondering what was round the cor er and I see that it’s more corner.
Brian Walbey: And so it goes on Chad in the best Richard Standley fashion.

What a lovely place for a leisurely stroll Brian.
Brian Walbey: yes it really is Anne, and preceded by a great and popular tearoom where we'd just enjoyed our lunch.

Ah - a little further the bend. Now I would like to take that riding gate left
Brian Walbey: There are footpaths across the fields to the left, I have shown some of that scenery on here before but I think it was a long time ago.
I bet Richard is having a smile Brian!
Brian Walbey: I hope so Bill.
And on we go!
Brian Walbey: Indeed Tom, just one more picture to go.
