Birmingham Reflections - Part 2 5/5.jpg

Prompted by Bills recent series taken in central Birmingham I decided to pull out five more images of reflections in the Gas Street Basin area of the city that I didn't include in my earlier series in 2014. I don't think any of these duplicate what Bill presented in his series, my apologies to him and you if they do. There really is a mixed bag of different reflections in this one. BTW the inside of that building is a magnificent concert hall, we went there many years ago for a massed Male Voice Choir concert which was absolutely wonderful with an ensemble of several hundred men taking part, I would loved to have been among them.

Brian Walbey: So many little parts isn't there.
A window made for photo's, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Indeed Frank and it no doibt looks different with every few paces one takes walking by.
This is really wonderful!

That's a veritable conglomeration of reflections, Brian.

And yes, you and Chad both would be welcome there for a concert, I'm sure!
Brian Walbey: So many little parts isn't there. The Male Voice Choir I was in are having their 50th.anniversary concert tomorrow evening. Retired members present such as me are being called up to join in with one of the songs during the concert, I'm looking forward to that, we are singing the Welsh hymn Gwahoddiad in English https://youtu.be/M3GsSMNad0E

The picture so created is excellent. I don't think it is possible, but it would have been wonderful if one could only have the reflecting window in the frame. I am aware that when you move, the reflection will change. I liked Gwahoddiad.
Brian Walbey: I didn't really realise I'd cut the top corner off the picture! It is a fine piece of music, i am looking forward to singing it once again this evening all being well.
the glass in Symphony Hall sure provides strange reflections Brian... great compositions in this series....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks peter, a lot of the buildings in that area have glass sides so there's loads of reflections all around.
And a very fine hall it is, acoustically - attended one of the best ever concerts there some years ago.
Brian Walbey: We've only been just that once but it is one of the best places I've been to listen to a concert, it must be great to sing in.

I've been to some performance at the Symphony Hall, too; a wonderful venue. The colourful reflection stands out well again the grey stonework.
