Crich Museum - The Wood Carvings 4/5

One of the best carvings on the Woodland Walk at Crich Tramway Museum is this book shelf. Very cleverly done but sadly the colours on the book spines are starting to fade a bit with the effects of the weather.

C'est original sachant que le papier est fait avec du bois.
Brian Walbey: I hadn't thought of that, good thinking Martine.

This is the favorite carving I have ever seen. I think the faded part is fabulous in this setting but I would paint it for free to show my appreciation for such a cre8ive endeavour. I am gong to send the e-card to several people and likey this tremendously wonderful piece of art.
Brian Walbey: A great idea and very well done. It must be great to have such an inventive brain to do things like this.

I believe I like the faded spines, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I've seen a picture somewhere when the paint was quite new and it does look very impressive.
