A Visit To Melbourne, Derbyshire 1/7

We took a ride over to the small Derbyshire town of Melbourne in late spring, it is only a short drive from us, but on the way home made a point of driving over the very well known Swarkestone Bridge nearby. The bridge and its causeway are the longest in England and I took this shot of the River Trent as it makes its way towards Nottingham a few miles further down stream.

How lovely this looks with the daffodils blooming!
Brian Walbey: It was a nice spot Elizabeth, this seemed the best angle of the river, trees and flowers.

A fine springtime image Brian. The daffodils are perfectly positioned and I'm sure the judges would love this one
Brian Walbey: Seems strange to post this in the summer but it seems you have all enjoyed seeing it, I enjoyed the time spent there.

The daffodils immediately say that this is spring and the river gives the impression of having plenty of water in it. I like your point of view. I'm not familiar with this part of Derbyshire at all; something I need to rectify.
Brian Walbey: This part of Derbyshire is so different to that which everybody normally thinks of.
Nice composition especially with the flowers in it too.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Jacquelyn, it was a nice little spot to call in at.
