Leicester Botanic Gardens 7/7

Taken in the Harold Martin Botanic Gardens, Leicester during a camera club visit there on a fine August afternoon last year.  Ideal subject to use the "rule of thirds" I felt.

Leaf structures are marvelous things, aren't they, Brian.

[I am enjoying your experiments with closer-up]
Brian Walbey: Some leaves, lie this one, have wonderful structures, and being quite large it was easy to take without loads of gear.

The rule of thirds is very important isn't it
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Chris, although not the be all and end all.
I sometimes have thirds.....if it is a really nice pudding grin
Brian Walbey: Lol. Hence last years diet proved somewhat unsuccessful smile

a wonderful composition - you are excelling yourself (I have to look in my dictionary to understand "the rule of thirds").
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine. I look forward to seeing some pictures from you in due course using this new rule you have learnt today.

Rules are for breaking on occasions... Ie when it suits smile I like bold red "arteries".
Brian Walbey: Yes I take an awful lot of pictures supposedly against the rules, I sometimes want to tear what hair I have left out when I listen to some of my fellow club members going on about rules all the time.
