Picton Castle Gardens #1

Picton Castle is near Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire and besides there being the buidling to look around there is also some 40 acres of garden to wander in.  This was taken in the Walled Garden, a lovely peaceful area to sit or wander undisturbed for a while before returning to the restaurant for an excellent cream tea.  More details are available from http://www.pictoncastle.co.uk/index.php

40 acres of garden for wandering! I would be in heaven, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie. Unfortunately we only had time to do this one part, the walled garden, mind you we took quite a bit of time enjoying a cream tea first smile

I am glad I am not the gardener having to do the weeding Brian!!
Lovely looking placesmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tracy, yes the part we saw was a lovely garden, I would have liked time to see more really.
Looks like my sort of place Brian..and is that blue I see in the sky? grin
Brian Walbey: Yes it is blue sky Biil, we were lucky to be away the only week there wasn't any rain at all. Think you would enjoy it here.
Lovely Photo must ask, Do you eat your Scone with a Knife and Fork or your Fingers?
Brian Walbey: Lol. Thanks Martin. I spread as much jam and cream on to the scone as I can and then pick it up, take a big bite and wallow in it, it's the only way surely!
A charming garden, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad, well worth a visit if you are down that way, and the castle is open to visitors as well.

lovely composition Brian and neat border toosmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tim, I done a couple of Canvas Size increases to give me a plain border then filled it with a colour and gave that a burst of the Noise filter.
Every garden should have a water feature Brian, looks a pleasant place to wander around.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Les, it is a very nice garden, well kept, and only part of a larger area we didn't have time to explore.
