Music For A Church:  This time a very well known piece by the late John Tavener who based a lot of his sacred music compositions on the Orthodox church, this in particular includes his regular use of discords which makes it both challenging and enjoyable to sing.

It looks like a beautiful day!
And lovely music!
Brian Walbey: It was a really nice day, a most unusual happening for us when we go anywhere! I have had the opportunity to sing several of Tavener's compositions when I was still in a mixed choir, everybody likes sining his 'crunchy' chords.

How peaceful and agreeable
Brian Walbey: Indeed a nice walk across the park from the house, it was one of the reasons we returned to Felbrigg last year, we hadn't done the church on our previous visit.
A church in a fine setting Brian
Brian Walbey: A nice gentle stroll across the park, we didn't do it on our first visit there a few years ago.

It looks dwarfed by the tree, though I know that is simply perspective. Beautiful music.
Brian Walbey: Indeed only the perspective Chad. I enjoyed singing some of Taveners compositions, one either loves them or hates them because of the discords he puts in.
I will listen to the music on the PC in a bit. This looks like a castle!
Brian Walbey: It has a very castleated style tower, not all churches are like that. I hope you enjoy the music.
The music was very soothing.
Brian Walbey: One of my favourite choral pieces Care.

I have just Googled the Church, Brian. It appears it has a fine collection of monumental brasses
Brian Walbey: I've been through all the pictures I took in the church but can't see any brasses but there are some quite interesting bits and opieces i did photogrpah.

The music suits the image very well. Just needs a few lambs in the foreground to make it even better.
Brian Walbey: Actually, and surprisingly, no sheep, but there was some cows. The Lamb is one of my favourite choral pieces.

I love this plenty of green - what a wonderful, quiet place - and waht a wonderful music! I agree with Alan's wish.
Brian Walbey: It is a delightful country church set in the middle of a large area of parkland which had cows in at the time. The Lamb is one of my favourite choral pieces, more to come on the next two Sundays and Thursday next week including a sung version of the Lord's Prayer you might enjoy.
Looks a pretty ancient one.
Brian Walbey: Built in the 15th.century Tom.
