Return to Thornbridge Hall - Part 1 1/7

Back in August, 2016 I posted a two-week series taken at Thornbridge Hall, Derbyshire in the Autumn of 2015. We returned for a visit in Spring last year and I'm now posting another series, split into two parts, to show you more of this delightful place.

This is so English-looking, Brian...and gorgeous!

Would love to walk along that snaky path.
Brian Walbey: It is the main road up through the parkland to the house and is a really nice walk.
Nice to revisit a favourite place Brian
Brian Walbey: We really like it there, the chance to go in May instead of Autumn was too good to miss, it was only 5 minutes from our B.& B.as well.

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among those dark Satanic Mills?

Sorry.. I've been to a Proms-type outdoor concert at Highclere Castle last Saturday and this reminded me of the song.
Brian Walbey: A song any proud English person should enjoy singing IMHO, I certainly do.
Must get round to taking a look at it!
Brian Walbey: It is a nice place to visit Tom and they have a very good tearoom.
This could be here.
Brian Walbey: I seem to recall some of your scenic pictures from PEI show beautiful country side like this.
