Portmeirion - Part 1 4/7

One of the most attractive and well placed houses in the village is this one called Unicorn. Built in 1964 and Grade II listed, The house has two en-suite bedrooms and a central sitting room. The Mermaid Panel in the centre of the balcony is one of several Clough got from the Seaman’s Home in Liverpool.

Quite a decent front garden to this cottage, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Lovely isn't it.
Un joli jardin accueillant.

What a lovely place Brian.
Brian Walbey: A shame the houses are not open to the general public, I would like to see inside this one.
I'll live there! Beautiful!
Brian Walbey: So would I Elizabeth, but then I wouldn't want the thousands of visitors Portmeirion gets every year passing by all the time.

The pink colour of the house blends in very well

We stayed in the hotel one night, a brilliant time.
Brian Walbey: I bet it was a good time Chad, it looks beautiful inside on their website.

It looks vaguely Colonial in style.
Brian Walbey: According to the guide book it is a sort of Palladian/Georgian style building. behind the frontage is a single story, flat-roofed, bungalow!

Well framed! Nice textures. Would you consider a small vignette maybe?
Brian Walbey: You might be right about the vignette Bonnie, I could trim a bit off the right but that would cut through the flowers.
