photoblog image Porthmadog Harbour.

Porthmadog Harbour.

This is the town end of the harbour at Porthmadog, a favourite place for boats of the leisure type to be moored up. A few years ago we holidayed in Porthmadog and rented one of the ground floor apartments in that block just right of centre.

A charming place Brian, what a great place to stay.
Brian Walbey: It is a great place to stay, right on the waters edge with no fence or anything to stop one falling in the harbour, not a good place to have children or dogs though.
Joli port, j'aime les bateau à  la queue leu leu.

Well presented, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
This looks very nice in B&W!
Brian Walbey: It was a dull sort of day so i thought it lifted it a bit to do B.& W.

Everything looks calm here
Brian Walbey: It's a well enclosed harbour, it perhaps get choppy in the winter but I can't imagine it being much different to this most of the time.
A fine b&w Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. It was a dull sort of day so I thought it lifted it a bit to do B.& W.

A scene I know fairy wel; I was stood more less in teh same place last Sunday. Years ago, wise stayed in an apartment off to your immediately . Very handy for the Ffestiniog Railway (the WHR was not yet running).
Brian Walbey: We quite enjoyed Porthmadog although it is a bit quiet in the evening, although the restaurant at the Ffestiniog station is open in the evening with an excellent menu which we have enjoyed more than once.
The sepia treatment seems to suit!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
