Borth-y-Gest - Part 2 - 4/5

A short series this week taken from Borth-y-Gest looking out across Tremadog Bay to the Rhinog mountains. You can see in all of the images just how far the tide goes out at this point along the coast.

It looks like miles of sand on the other side
Brian Walbey: It is difficult to take in just how far out the tide goes.

The tides give us something to talk about.
Brian Walbey: It is difficult to take in just how far out the tide goes.

Belle photo !
Brian Walbey: Thanks Claudine.
This is truly lovely! What time of year is this taken?
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary. This was mid-June last year, but, next week you will see how different it was there just a couple of days before.

I like the different layers of your picture.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine.
Always plenty to see in these coastal margins especially the plants
Brian Walbey: I suspect the tide doesn't cover this area for very long or else those grassy plants wouldn't grow.
The blue cast works well in this image, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I thought so as well Beverly.

I would think you would not want a boat with much of a keel in order to be able to sail out from here.
Brian Walbey: I don't know if it is very deep when the tide is in, it certainly just off to the elft in Porthmadog harbour.
Almost a water free zone.
Brian Walbey: It must be frustrating for those who enjoy boating.
