Donington Aeropark 3/7

As I said on Monday the Aeropark is right next to East Midlands Airport and from the raised banking one can watch the airliners taking off, for destinations all over the U.K. and Europe mainly, on a regular basis. I was able to capture this trio of shots of one such aircraft from TUI setting off on its way. I'm not sure if this is the same type of aircraft but it is certainyl a good bit of video of a Thomson Airways (now TUI) plane taking off at East Midlands Airport:

A nice series of shots, Brian, don't think its the same plane as the video though.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Frank, you weren't suppose to notice it is a different plane smile
i liked the trio, especially the bottom left with the lush greens and the bright livery, Brian.
Brian Walbey: The airport is set in really nice countryside rather than on the edge of a large city.

Very well presented, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray.
A very pretty bird!
Brian Walbey: I must admit I do like the colour style.
I like how you've presented this flight to us today, Brian. It reminds me of what we'd see with flip pages. smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie. Flip pages, now that takes me back, and you no doubt!

Up, up, and away!
Brian Walbey: It's a fine place to take a series of shots of a plane taking off.

This is good Brian, I like the way you have shown lift off. I was also impressed with your comment on Bill’s blog yesterday. I feel the same.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad, it is a good place for taking a series of take-off shots like this.
I have never fathomed out why they changed the name to Tui

Don't think it is the same type of plane in the video I think your pic is a 737
Brian Walbey: Thomson to Tui, got to be a corpotare decision by some CEO who's now moved on to pastures anew. You weren't suppose to notice it is a different plane smile
Very nice presentation, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, there is a good place to stand at the aeropark to photograph take-offs as a sequence.

TUI is well- known in our country as touristic business: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/TUI- I like your uprising line of airplanes very much.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine. It is the same aircraft at 3 different phases in its take-off.

Fabulous presentation here, Brian. I have to say that I often am glues to the glass at some airports if it is possible to see the runway.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid. I quite like aircraft apart from flying in them as you probably know, but i'm out of touch these days as to the different sorts, military or civilian.

Another load of happy holidaymakers on their way. I can just picture a fair of number of males on board wearing football shirts. Thomson used to be one of the better tour operator but I've no idea what they are like now; it's years since I've been on a package holiday.
Brian Walbey: Apart from not wishing to ever fly again I can't imagine what it must be like on one of these package holiday flights to the Costa Brava ior somewhere similar!
A nice sequence, it seems to take flight
Brian Walbey: It is a good place to take a series of take-off shots like this.
