What a wonderful image!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, it came out just as I'd intended.
Jolie statue.
Brian Walbey: Supposed to be of one of Englands heros, although he only comes from a famous childrens novel.
A nice, crisp shot - love the skies!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth, it came out just as I'd intended.

Boldly cropped Brian. Is this the sort of thing the judges like?
Brian Walbey: I hope they do Chris. It has been up before the club members and in general it was well received.

An unusual subject for you, Brian - was the subject "Statues"? It's very good
Brian Walbey: Thanks Lisl. No I haven't used it as yet but thought when I took it that it might well suit an Open subject competition which we have coming up in May.
Well done, Brian. A winner for me.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie, it came out just as I'd intended.

Nicely matured statue Brian.
Brian Walbey: I have no idea how old it is, it is set in the stables area of Thoresby Hall near Nottingham which has been turned into craft shops etc.

this is a very nice image, Brian. for some reason i get a saintly feel of this sculpture.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush. If he'd ever existed he would no doubt have been looked upon as a saint, he supposedly stole from the rich to help the poor.
Should do well Brian

A great POV
Brian Walbey: About the only one which avoids surrounding buildings all around.
Quite nice, Brian.

good image of a great sculpture Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter.
What a guy, taking from the rich to give to the poor, if only life were just that simple.
Brian Walbey: Messrs Corbyn and McDonnell seem to think it would be a very easy thing to do, time alone will tell!
