Battlefield Railway 1/4

The Battlefield Line Railway is a heritage railway in Leicestershire which runs from Shackerstone to Shenton via Market Bosworth, a total of 5 miles (8.0 km). Shenton is near Bosworth Field, (the location of the final battle of the Wars of the Roses immortalised in Shakespeare's Richard III), giving the railway its name.

The image lacks your usual definition, Brian, but the composition really appeals to my eye.
Brian Walbey: It was a really dull day and everything was flat in colour plus there was quite a lot of noise in the few shots I took that day, the other three images suffer from the same problems.
this is a great shot, Brian. i especially like the dense greenery forming the background. i wonder if you went on that over head bridge.
Brian Walbey: THanks Ayush. My friend and I didn't ride on the train, they were only running that little diesel train the right hand platform.
This is very colorful!!
Brian Walbey: Ray felt it wasn't as colourful as my shots usually are and I tend to agree, it was the dullest of dull days!

Set against those trees it all looks very pleasing
Brian Walbey: It is a nice little railway but doesn't have a big fleet of locos, especially steam.

This looks like a life size miniature railway Brian.
Brian Walbey: It isa only a few miles long Chad, much smaller than the GCR, Severn Valley etc. etc.
Woo - colours are bit weird on this one!

I've enjoyed bacon sandwich at this station. I like the old diesel railcars.
Brian Walbey: I seem to recall that's what my friend and I had during our visit.

i've only seen one train car of this age period and it's rotting away in Arkansas

absolutely stunning image. love the fence and weeds in the forefront.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Sherri. These little diesel units have a driving area at each end and used to be used on small branch line railways way back.
A chance to step back in time for a while
Brian Walbey: Indeed Martin, there is a fine museum in the station building with all sorts of old stuff in it.
They want to play with them, as if they were miniature models.
Brian Walbey: Very much 'Big Boys Toys' Claudio.
