photoblog image An Afternoon Stroll 5/5

An Afternoon Stroll 5/5

As a sort of homage to our late SC friend Richard Standley (standley) I thought I would post a short series of images I took recently when Maureen and I went for a short afternoon walk at Ulverscroft, near Leicester. Richard never actually showed us the destination of his various walks and this set will echo this right through to this final image. The last few yards before the path meets a nearby road.

i like the crop, which almost is entirely green, Brian.

Lovely - it is the same path, but in a different place - one can see that because of the fence. Thank you again for this series.
Brian Walbey: My pleasure Louis.

Thank you very much for this wonderful series, it is a very fine gesture to Richard Standley. I myself enjoyed very much his Saturday Stroll images, and I liked his kind, charming comments very much. He answered always in French on my comments, because he knew that I love the French words. I am very sad that he died so early, he was such a brave Monsieur, confident to battle against the cancer.
Brian Walbey: I always enjoyed Richards Saturday offerings, I saw a lot of places I know I will never see for myself. He came over as a very nice man, a person I feel I would have liked to meet for real.
You have done a great thing putting on this this series Brian, The Saturday strolls of Richard were so memorable.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin. I always enjoyed Richards Saturday offerings, I saw a lot of places I know I will never see for myself.

Popular with many people I should think on a day like this.
Brian Walbey: Very much so I would think Alan.
Well-composed, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
