Birmingham Reflections - Part 2 2/5.jpg

Prompted by Bills recent series taken in central Birmingham I decided to pull out five more images of reflections in the Gas Street Basin area of the city that I didn't include in my earlier series in 2014. I don't think any of these duplicate what Bill presented in his series, my apologies to him and you if they do.

Beautiful on this bright, sunny day!
Brian Walbey: I was very impressed with this area of Birmingham, it wasn't quite what we expected at all.

A very pleasing image Brian. I do like those warm brick houses with their Dutch style frontages.

I had mixed feeling feelings for some years concerning Birmingham. For a few years, I had a maniac of a manger who was based in Birmingham near the Gas Street basin and around once every six weeks or so I would be summoned up there to get a much undeserved b*llocking (in these days, it would deemed to be bullying by the manager). However, those days are long behind me and now I enjoy a visit. I like the mix of the old boats and the regenerated area,.

You;ve got it all here, Brian, even a duck!

The reflections are superb, so pretty, Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Lisl, the slight ripples give them a sort of texture.

Not an easy angle to capture the reflection. Good Job!
Brian Walbey: Taken from across the other side of the canal Bonnie.
