Jolie église dans ce bel environnement.
Brian Walbey: It is also a lovely church inside.
the headstones are almost covered by the greenery, Brian. another fine shot from your trove.
Brian Walbey: They had mown footpaths through the churchyard but left a lot of areas like this.

I really like this one, Brian...your fine image allows the impression that Nature is fighting to recover its territory.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray. Footpaths had been mown to walk round but areas had also been left like this.
One of the things I LOVE about the English cemeteries I've seen, Brian, is how they're allowed to be overgrown, adding a certain beauty to the place.

A tidy grave yard looks good Brian, but so to does one like this in my opinion.

There seems to be a trend to let old graveyards to grow wild these days

A great picture, but I find the award winners to be excellent - anyone could have been the ultimate winner.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Louis. I particularly liked the image of the woman on the seat rather than the winner.
It is a lovely scene. England will have to mow it's cemeteries if Lyme Disease ever hits the country.
Brian Walbey: We've already got Lyme Disease over here Mary. This church ahs a big cemetery so they mowed paths through the gravestones.

A lot of churchyards have areas left to rewind these days to encourage more wildlife. I like your composition showing the gap in the buses to the foot of the tower.

I was not surprised to see BW featuring in the entries. MY favourite was the lady sat on the bench.
Brian Walbey: I took a lot of shots in this graveyard, it was difficult to decide which one to enter. The lady on the bench would have been my winner if I was judging.

A great wildlife habitat.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Anne, perhaps that's why they have not mowed the whole area.
