I can see why you took this Brian, with the hills in the background serving to mirror the stones in front
Brian Walbey: I have featured Castlerigg before but not from this angle. I was also lucky to get the place almost to myself.

Even from the thumbnail, I knew where this was. It works very well in b&w.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, I was lucky that we were almost the only people there, I'm sure it gets very crowded at times.
On dirait les menhirs de Bretagne.
Brian Walbey: These stones date back many centuries Martine, I wonder if your Menhirs and these stones were erected around about the same time and for the same reasons.
I like this so, so much, Brian. Stunning.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Mary.
Excellent shot, Brian - by coincidence, I have a shot of the stones coming up in a few days!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom. I will look forward to seeing your view on the stones.

I love the texture with the black and white.
Brian Walbey: I thought it was worth trying the B.& W.and it seems to have come out reasonably well.
Makes a fine b&w Brian
