Bradgate Park - September 2012 3/5

Bradgate Park is a public park in Charnwood Forest, in Leicestershire, Northwest of Leicester and covers 850 acres. This is short series of photos taken during a visit there in September, 2012.

Maureen's main flower bed in our back garden is looking good again this summer as you can see with still a few more plants to come into flower:

looks like the handsome, young fella has quite a load on his head, Brian. and a very charming garden of Maureen.
Brian Walbey: I often wonder if antlers weigh very much, I guess their neck muscles are designed by nature to be strong enough.

Lovely shot of the young buck, Brian.

Yes...Maureen's garden looks great!
Brian Walbey: Thanks and thanks Ray.
I'd call those antlers, Brian, much like you'd see on a moose/elk. WOW. He should feel well protected!

Please let Maureen know that her garden looks splendid...just like an English garden should look, I've long ago discovered!
Brian Walbey: I suspect the antlers were grown nearly to the point when they are shed. Maureen works hard on her garden, I'm ashamed to say I'm not a gardener, it looks nice all round at the moment, a nice place to sit and have lunch or afternoon tea, except not today, it's raining!!!

Maureen's garden is a credit to her skills
Brian Walbey: She enjoys her garden, note I say hers, I'm not a gardener other than helping with any heavy jobs.

The whites, so white
the colours so bright!

It looks as if he was done with Omo.

Your Maureen has the knack of putting a beautiful flower bed together.
Brian Walbey: Yes he was nice and clean and smart. I remember Omo, they had some of the first adverts on TV way back longer than I care to remember! Maureen enjoys her garden, I'm not a gardener except for helping with any heavy work.
Hard to believe you can be this close to deer.

Maureen has crocosmia, a favorite flower of mine that is difficult to grow here. It is the red/orange flower on the right.
Brian Walbey: At various times of the eyar the Deer roam freely in the parkland. Maureen says her Crocosmia is one of many different types, but this is the only one she has.

The deer is very handsome. The antlers make going through woodland quite difficult, I should think.

Your gardener has done well; worth keeping her on, I think smile
Brian Walbey: handsome looking beast isn't it. Maureen enjoys her garden, I'm not a gardener except for helping with any heavy work.

Your garden is looking lovely Brian - I hope all this heavy rain has not done any damage.
Brian Walbey: Maureen enjoys her garden, I'm not a gardener except for helping with any heavy work. Fortunately the rain hasn't done any damage, but it does mean not having to get the hose out for a day or two.
Lovely picture of the deer Brian

Maureen's garden is looking good!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. Maureen works hard on the garden both back and front, I like gardens but i'm not much of a gardener.

I like the close up quality of this photograph Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad.
What a beauty!
Maureen's flower bed as well!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.

Marureen does your garden proud, Brian. It looks as if she has flowers in every available area
Brian Walbey: Maureen works hard on the garden both back and front, I like gardens but i'm not much of a gardener.
