Blakeney 6/7

The main village at Blakeney stretches quite a way inland and there are dozens of lovely old cottages, many of them built with Flint walls, a common sight in Norfolk. This one caught my eye, I would loved to have had the opportunity to go inside, and it looks as tough the postbox is still in use.

Brian Walbey: No doubt they can tell the time by the mail man coming to empty the box.

It is a fabulous facade, Brian.
Brian Walbey: The whole village is full of delightful cottages like this.
Isn't that a wonderful building!

This could be a B&B house. I remember well the flint walls. Surely this postbox is still in use. 'Marsh' sounds similar to the German 'Marsch' to describe this flat landscape.
Brian Walbey: Many of the B.& B.houses are like this throughout that part of Norfolk.
it does have a traditional appearance to it, Brian, especially the row at the bottom.
