Crook Hall Gardens 3/7

The various areas of garden all have their own history and their own personalities. Some have been here for centuries whilst others are rather more recent additions. They consist, among others, of the Walled Garden, the Shakespeare Garden, the Silver and White Garden, the Cathedral Garden and the Courtyard. You can see above a couple of the pleasant quiet corners one can sit and enjoy the garden.

A sight for sore eyes, Brian - it is so grey and drab here at the moment
Brian Walbey: Thanks Lisl. We are having a sunny morning here, hopefully it will stay for the rest of the day.
And to think it will look like this again soon, Brian, now that it's MARCH!
Brian Walbey: Indeed it will Ginnie, isn't time rushing by again, it seems to pass quicker every year!

What a lovely garden - and a bench for me!
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely garden and there are lots of benches for you, and Maureen and me, we could all sit and chat, that would be very nice.
You were either lucky or patient to be able to get so many pictures without people getting in the way
Brian Walbey: Outside of the 50 or so people on our coach there wasn't a lot of visitors that day and I made sure I was well ahead of most of them as we wondered around.

Stunning garden.

How did you shoo the tourists away for these shots, Brian...did you cry out "Alligator!" or "Free Icecreams over there!"?

I do like gardens and these are some lovely shots.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary. I love gardens but not gardening, as you've probably read me saying before, our small garden at home is very much Maureen's.

You have captured the serenity of the garden Brian, I can just imagine having a leisurely walk through these gardens, then sitting and taking it all in.
Brian Walbey: That what exactly what we done Anne, Friday's post will show you more of that.

Looks a lovely place to wander through. I trust that there was a suitable tearoom for essential refreshment?
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely goarden, I think Froday's post will satisfy your curiosity.
You obviously got a lovely day for the visit!
Brian Walbey: yes it was Tom, indeed on our whole weeks holiday in the area we only got one bad day, we were very lucky.
