Claydon House Parkland

A while back I posted images taken at the National Trust property near Buckingham at Claydon Hall of the hall, gardens and church. In this one I have turned my back to the house to show you some of the extensive parkland and also this lovely tree, although there are in fact several more of these in a line along this grassy bank.

Expertly composed landscape, Brian.

I especially love the flowering grasses.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, classic English parkland at its best.

It looks like a cedar, a traditional park tree
Brian Walbey: Yes I think it is.

Looks to be a very restful place to sit for a while and consider the meaning of life. The tree has had some surgery at times.
Brian Walbey: Like all these estates the parkland is very nice and quiet. I guess the tree is very old and some branches have to be lopped off every now and then.
A fine view across the park Brian
Brian Walbey: Some is and some isn't, I picked one of the better views for this shot.

a wind-swept tree - a lovely landscape.
Brian Walbey: This is probably the nicest view across the parkland.
Large trees always make the landscape so much more beautiful.
Brian Walbey: There are several of these along that stretch of parkland, I felt this was the one with the best background.
That tree makes the subject, Brian!
Brian Walbey: This is one of several Tom, probably the best one.
