A very healthy dose of the bucolics here, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Lovely isn't it.
Lovely lines, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.
That wall needs some repairing Brian, animals can help pull these things apart a they try to climb over.
Brian Walbey: I guess that lone sheep on the right has managed to scramble over the wall.
Every time I see sheep like this, Brian, even here where we live, I start reciting the little ditty I grew up with: "The sheep's in the meadow and the cow's in the corn." smile

How verdant and lovely it all looks
Brian Walbey: It was a lovely early September Sunday morning, a good time to be among the Peaks.

This could almost be the Mendip Hills, Brian
Brian Walbey: This is the area around Bakewell, one of the less barren areas, and although only a short dale it was a nice walk.
The dales are always woth seeing Brian
Brian Walbey: This is only a short one but for us it was a nice walk without being at all strenuous.

Whenever I see walls like these, I can't help but think how people must have sweated in their building. They make pictures like these, special.
Brian Walbey: Bearing in mind most of the country has stone walls lining fields like this I think of all the work that must have been done by our predecessors actually quarrying the stone and building the walls, these days all we do is maintain what's already there.

Classic landscape Brian, good diagonal composition.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike. This is the area around Bakewell, one of the less barren areas, and although only a short dale it was a nice walk.
This shot has it all.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Mary.

This is wonderful, I love the light and the green and the sheep of course.. smile
Soon it will look like this again.
Brian Walbey: I must admit it doesn't look much like early September does it.

Even before the title can up, I thought "Derbyshire" - I recognise the sheep (no, only kidding). I can't place this dale.
Brian Walbey: It's only a small dale Alan. Lathkill ends just outside Monyash and if you cross the road a path leads you into this one, it is really a pleasant footpath round the northern boundary of Monyash and comes out at the top end of the village.
