another fine shot, Brian. i like the flat angle.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush, sometimes these shots look better from road level rather than above.
Do those spectators ever get hit?
Brian Walbey: Hopefully not Elizabeth, most modern circuits have high fencing but smaller ones like this place can't afford to do that, although it is very rare a machine would go into the crowd.

Do these ever go on the road, Brian? Or is that a silly question?
Brian Walbey: Not a silly question at all Lisl, this type of sidecar outfits are ridden in the Isle of Man TT races every year and that is of course on the closed public roads.

This is real teamwork
Brian Walbey: The passenger plays a very important part, without him/her being in the correct place on corners the whole outfit could go out of control.
No 73 has a real space age look
Brian Walbey: That particular machine is a real joy to look at, I seem to recall having a good look at it in the paddock during the lunchtime interval period.

The bikes look so small. It's taken me most of the series ti realise that I've driven past Darley Moor several times; it is not far from Ashbourne (but then you know that of course because you've been there!).
Brian Walbey: Yes Darley is on the road from Ashbourne to the A50, and it is very much an old fashioned ex airfield circuit which the barest of facilities but the racing is good which is what counts.
I'm not even sure what these vehicles are.
Brian Walbey: They are sidecar outfits Mary, or in other words the old fashioned motorcycle and sidecar that we don't see much of on the roads these days other than those owned by enthusiasts.
Which one won?
Brian Walbey: No idea Tom to be honest.

Great! The spectators add much to this fine action shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Unlike the main circuits in the U.K.this small one hasn't got high fencing all the way round. mind you it isn't ever used for car racing.
