Holkham Bay, Norfolk 2/5

This is some more detail of the western half of Holkham Bay and within those woodlands are plenty of paths to walk along.

C'est joli aussi vu ainsi.
That seawall doesn't look very substantial, Brian...smile
Brian Walbey: Nothing to stop the sea for a long way inland.

Excellent, Brian...I especially like the fenced off dune grasses area.
Brian Walbey: I suspect the fence is there to stop people walking off the beach across the grassy area, it is no doubt of scientific interest.

The perfect place to be on a sunny summer day
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chris, oh that we had one of those today.
I bet it can be quite bleak in winter Brian
Brian Walbey: I would think so, but perhaps a nice place to walk on a crisp winter day, or not smile
You get a sense of the battle between land and sea here Brian.
Brian Walbey: This of course was part of the Norfolk area that was flooded in the horrendous 1953 east Coast floods, nothing to stop the sea here at all.
I see someone is taking a walk. You, Maureen and he have a fine place to yourselves.
Brian Walbey: Almost to ourselves but not quite Mary, we were lucky, it is a popular spot, especially when the tide is out.

You capture the sweep of the bay perfectly. Great spot to take your camera for a walk.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Mike, one can walk for miles along the coast at this point.
Looks as though the land is building up.
Brian Walbey: I'm surprised those dunes haven't been washed away to be honest.
