Wollerton Old Hall Garden 2/7

The garden has been designed and developed by Lesley and John Jenkins since 1984. It is set around a 16th.Century Hall House and has developed into an important modern garden in the English Garden tradition with echoes of Arts and Crafts. Towards the centre of the garden is this lovely area with two small rectangular ponds, some beautiful shrubbery and a nice seat upon which to sit and watch the world go by.

Most agreeable, they must be very proud of their achievements
Brian Walbey: More or less the centrepiece of the garden Chris.
A dream perspective Brian!
Brian Walbey: More or less the centrepiece of the garden Richard.
A fine garden indeed Brian.
Brian Walbey: More or less the centrepiece of the garden Bill.
I think that I prefer these small intimate watery places to the wide open formal gardens Brian.
Brian Walbey: More or less the centrepiece of the garden Chad.
It would warm up nicely with the walls for wind protection.
Brian Walbey: More or less the centrepiece of the garden, but I wouldn't want to have to trim all those hedges and shrubs.
This area is well captured in this shot Brian
Brian Walbey: More or less the centrepiece of the garden Martin.

This is a real joy. I could be quite happy in such a garden but I would need a gardener or two to look after it. The bench needs a table to place the ice bucket and a couple of glasses on it wink
Brian Walbey: This is more or less the centre of the garden and if the owners have any sense they will do as you suggest on that bench on a fine summer evening.
I'd be happy with such a garden! (And a gardener to keep it so!)
Brian Walbey: So would I Tom, but the bit in brackets would be the most important part of it!

Oh, this is a wonderful garden- I remember beautiful holydays in England when we visited this garden. I like your photos very much, full of greenness!
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely garden and we would like to go back in mid summer, there was not a lot of flowers in bloom in this May visit.
