Chatsworth - The Grounds & Garden 1/14

One of a series I took during a visit to Chatsworth in September last year. This is the view that all visitors get as they approach the house from the main road, being the west facing side of the building.

We are away until Friday on a coach holiday to County Durham and Beamish, will catch up with you all at the weekend, in the meantime enjoy a visit to Chatsworth.

It is a quite imposing edifice, Brian.
Brian Walbey: One of the most famous in the land Ray.
C'est un très joli bâtiment avec cette étendue verte devant.
Brian Walbey: One of our most famous stately homes.
It's certainly a grand first impression!
What a lovely composition Brian!
Enjoy your holiday.

What a glorious place this is. Beamish will be a treasure trove for photography
Brian Walbey: Beamish was great Chris, we got to ride behind the replica Puffing Billy on the waggonway, I will let you know when my video is on YouTube.
It looks exactly like I remember it, Brian, from all those years ago! Now go and enjoy your holiday....
Brian Walbey: We had a great time Ginnie just as you no doubt did during your Chatsworth visit all those years ago.

Far from the Chatsworth that I know http://www.chatsworthlive.com/the-origin-of-chatsworth/

Enjoy your trip.
Brian Walbey: Thanks for the link Louis, certainly different than the English Chatsworth.
Love the big tree as always.

Imagine having to clean all those windows, Brian.

A lovely building.
Brian Walbey: By now you will know this is just one side, there are several more with loads of windows to clean.
