photoblog image Simple Saturday

Simple Saturday

CORNER OF THE GARDEN

This is a reposting of an image I showed last year taken in the garden at Peckover House, Wisbech. I liked the simplicity of it at the time and I messed about with it in a couple of programmes to bring a bit more colour into it, particularly the planter with flowers in the foreground. Maureen has used several copies of this to make greetings cards we sell at church to raise funds for building repairs.

The cards would be well appreciated, I am sure, Brian
Brian Walbey: All the cards she makes go like hot cakes, and almost every one has a picture by me on it so I like to think there a lot of people who've now got a 'Walbey' Yippee!
Lovely tones and settings in that beautiful corner Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard.

A pleasing reworking Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. (We met briefly with Alan Rolfe today at the Statfold Barn Railway near Tamworth, he was there with his friends. If you've never been there it is a good day out, and not a really long drive from Droitwich. You can find out more here http://www.statfoldbarnrailway.co.uk/ we may go back again at their September open day.)
A lovely bit of planting, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Nice and simple isn't it.

It's very good. I can just see this on a greetings card; the format works well.
Brian Walbey: Yes it looks nice on a card.
It's a very charming image, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.
