Mess About Monday

REFLECTIONS

A week of 'messed about' images starting with this one I took at the Black Country Museum during our 'get together' in 2011. I believe I have posted it before but playing about with ON1 Perfect Effects 9 I seem to have managed to get a lot more detail in the reflections. I seem to recall I was standing having a chat with Astrid at the time I took this.

It is a complex and interesting image, Brian.
Brian Walbey: A bit over complex perhaps to be honest.
Quite a wonderful mess Brian!
Brian Walbey: mess I think is the operative word in all honesty Richard.
This turned out really great! You have brought out a lot of detail with those reflections!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth, there is so much detail it's difficult to know what to look at in all honesty.
I'm not sure anyone could squeeze an ounce more of charm out of this, Brian. Excellent.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ginnie.

This is lovely, a sure fire competition winner I should think
Brian Walbey: I might give it a try one day, although I have feeling I once entered the more modest version once before.
I remember it well Brian. I have posted a picture of this barge in the past too. You certainly have pulled a lot of detail out of the water
Brian Walbey: Nice to do a twiddle for a change and it comes out reasonably well. I wonder if the barge is still there, Maureen and our granddaughter and her Mum are going to the museum in June, I can't go because it is only two days after my second cataract operation, I will get Maureen to have a look.
Not a working canal them Brian.
Brian Walbey: A side channel of the working part Chad.

A long boat without its shell and it rammed the reeds. What a mess. Water is clear enough to see the bottom.

I wanted to get ON1, but I only run Windows XP, so it was a 'no go'.
Brian Walbey: I think this boat has reached the end of its working life Louis. I haven't got all ON1 but just a part that came free with a magazine. I have Win.7 and am currently one of millions trying to fight off Microsoft upgrading me to Win.10 automatically while is is still free! I thought XP was a good programme, it is disgusting the way Microsoft wash their hands of people who are quite happy using their older products.
I took some shots of fish in the pond yesterday and they were not as good as I though. This gives me an idea to try to rescue them by twiddling. This turned out very, very well.
Brian Walbey: Trouble is Mary for the life of me I can't remember what I done!!
A smashing shot, Brian, I really like the treatment, the reflections are wonderful.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Frank, whatever I done has really pulled out the reflections.
this is a promising start, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ayush.

Yes we did have a chat while we were at this scene... it was I think at that dead end place. It was a great meeting and have fond memories of that day.
This is a fabulous reflection picture. Too bad the boat had seen better days smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, this was a dead end, for the boat as well! I wonder if the barge is still there, Maureen and our granddaughter and her Mum are going to the museum in June, I can't go because it is only two days after my second cataract operation, I will get Maureen to have a look.

The reflections are wonderful and you've certainly managed to get some depth to the canal. Unfortunately, I missed that gathering sad
Brian Walbey: Yes it was a shame you missed that gathering Alan, the Fish and Chips are excellent.

Oh, I love the reflections of the clouds and the narrowboat - a wonderful photo!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, I'm pleased with the way it has come out.
What a lot of detail down there
Brian Walbey: Surprising what's in the file to be squeezed out isn't it.
the image is superb Brian... the reflections are spectacular....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Peter.
