At the top is the 950cc.BMW powered machine of John Potts and Neil Dutton and below is the 950cc. Nourish powered machine of Phillip Boote and Andrew Haynes

Whoua, ils sont vraiment au ras du sol.
Brian Walbey: The tops of the screens are only about knee height, the sensation of speed must be tremendous.
You are showing quite well the team work on these side cars Brian! Great captures.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, both driver and passenger have to be in harmony with each other.
I always thought the side car racing fascinating Brian.
Brian Walbey: A sport I'd rather watch than try out though Chad.

It looks less dangerous than solo bikes but that might be only a perception
Brian Walbey: I guess it is less dangerous, it isn't quite so easy to crash I guess.
Great pics Brian. I have always thought sidecar racers are stark raving mad!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. I must admit I would never wish to ride in the sidecar, those men/ladies are brave I reckon.
i was not even aware that sidecar mounted bikes had an event such as this, Brian. fantastic shot.
Brian Walbey: Yes they've been raced as long as solos but don't look much like road going sidecar outfits.
I always marvel at the antics of the side car man in these races, do they ever become detached.
Brian Walbey: They do become detached Martin, but since races started with a clutch start they don't get left behind so much as when they had to push and jump in.

Do they still do sidecar racing? I used to enjoy watching it on occasions.
Brian Walbey: Indeed sidecar racing is still very popular Alan, but, as always, treated a bit like the poor relation.

It looks a little more stable than the two wheeled sort , but I still wouldn't want to be on one ;-)
Brian Walbey: yes it is more stable but no way would I ever want to be the person in the sidecar!

Perfect harmony into the bend. Good action shots Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike, they very much have to work as a team, bearing in mind the driver is the one who has sole control over what they do.

Looks formidable to me, Brian
Brian Walbey: Fun to watch but no way would I ever get in the sidecar in one of those!
fine shots, Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
WOW... i sure wouldn't want to be in one of those sidecars Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: I wouldn't want to be on the sidecar platform for sure Peter.
