Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, I shall take that as a compliment.
Phew, this is most impressive Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, Crich is a good day out, especially for we menfolk who generally like mechanical things.

They used to call these things boneshakers but the modern ones, as in Manchester, are a joy to ride in
Brian Walbey: The ones in Nottingham are very comfortable to travel in, in fact just before Christmas they opened two new routes out to the suburbs.
I have paid a few visits here. It is a good day out
Brian Walbey: We've been several times it being only an hour or so from us. On this visit we took Maureen's brother who was up from Poole staying with us for a few days having just retired from work.
Why do we get rid of all our best assets Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed Chad, although as Chris pointed out there are trams in Manchester and near to us Nottingham has an extensive tram network, and then there are other places like Sheffield well.
Old timers, Brian, like us.
Brian Walbey: Now I'm sure I'm a good bit older than you young lady and I prefer to refer to myself as older rather than old, it doesn't sound so bad. smile In reality, and I obviously don't know about your children, but our two haven't yet seemed to catch on that Maureen and I are no longer young and able to do all the things we used to do, soon it will be their turn to help us out, we hope!

Are there any trolley buses, too, Brian?
Brian Walbey: No I don't recall any Lisl, there is a similar museum just outside Lowestoft where I once saw a trolleybus, long way away from you though.
I really must get there - it looks very photogenic!
Brian Walbey: Yes a fine place for photos during the week, at weekends there are a lot more people about. They ran five trams during the course of our visit and they run every few minutes.

Another series I will enjoy. Crich's first tram was Southampton no. 45 - £10!
Brian Walbey: Was it indeed Alan. I think you would enjoy a visit there on one of your trips up and down through the Midlands, something for the post-retirement list of things to do.
