An Autumn Walk 7/7

An October walk at Smisby Arboretum, Derbyshire.

The little pond from earlier in the week from the other side, the lighting couldn't have been better.

This is glorious backlighting Brian, surely worthy of entering a competition
Brian Walbey: It was the back lighting that appealed. If I put it in front of a judge they would pick up on the tree down the centre of the image cutting the picture in two, I should have spent more time and tried some alternative compositions.
You kept the best one for the end Brian! I love it.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, it's a toss up between this and Wednesdays image as to which I like best, they have both come out kust as i saw them at the moments I took them.
Yes, you have wonderful backlighting here.
Brian Walbey: Beautiful lighting isn't it, one doesn't get many moments like this.

You are indulging in the colours of autumn!
Brian Walbey: Well it was autumn at its best that day.

Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I walked past this and thought I must take a picture, I'm pleased with how its come out.

I was immediately attracted by the lighting. The back lighting really accentuates those glorious colours.

Fantastic capture. I love your centering of the tree.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Hollie. Having the tree in the centre is a compositional 'no-no' according to the experts, but I like it whatever they say.
I like the blue bench picture, and your favourite, but this is the one for me, Brian. Beautiful light. Spot on composition. I want to walk into it.
Brian Walbey: Thanks for looking back Graeme, it is a toss-up between this one and my favourite to be honest, lets say I like them both as much as each other smile
