photoblog image Donington Park Racing Car Collection 5/5

Donington Park Racing Car Collection 5/5

The rear end of a McLaren Formula 1 car used against an atmospheric painted background. I have had a 16” x 12” print done of this and will be entering it in a club competition at some time entitled ‘Enthusiasm’.  I have already entered it as a projected digital image at my club but whilst being appreciated by the judge it didn't win an award but it is being used to represent the club at a forthcoming local exhibition next week.

You have turned it into a fabulous cartoon, Brian. It is a very worthy image.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Frank. I really liked this colour scheme the McClarens carried for a few seasons.
it's a fantastic point of view with the mural behind all of that shining chrome on the McLaren Formula 1 car... well done Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter. I have another shot taken elsewhere in the museum with a Marlboro McClaren against a painting of the team pits with the refuelling rig etc., perhaps I'll post that one day.
Excellent shot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Frank, I saw this and thought it would likely be a reasonable image.
excellent image, Brian. i think a good shot to showcase your club.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ayush. The club set of images we have entered hoping to win the exhibition is a panel of six, fingers crossed for next Monday when the judging takes place.
This is excellent Brian! Well done indeed.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.

I would have thought your club competition has a winner here Brian
Brian Walbey: I hope so Chris, we are required to enter a set of 6 images, and are also entering the class for prints, (6 of) and one of that group is mine also.
A fine image, difficult to see the dividing line at a glance.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Martin. I'm really pleased with this, mind you the artist done most of the hard work and McClaren supplied that beautiful car.

An effective image Brian - good luck in your club competition
Brian Walbey: Thanks Anne. This is in a set of 6 images the club enters as a group. We are also doing the same with a set of 6 prints, one of which is mine also. Judging is on Monday, fingers crosses.
Well done Brian. You have created a fine image here worthy of the title "Enthusiasm"
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Janet, in reality full marks to the painter and McClaren for building such a beautiful car.
Should do well Brian.

Hopefully both sets will do well, we are up against seven or eight other local clubs, it would be nice to come top of the pile.

The background helps with the scene. Good luck with the competition. I hope you get a judge who knows about photography and fun!
Brian Walbey: It just seemed to me that the car and backdrop made for a reasonable shot, and I feel it is.
Clearly a winning entry Brian,I wish you luck.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chad, we will find out next week.
Great shot, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom.
