Alford Manor House 3/6

During 2010 the gardens at the rear of Alford Manor House underwent a major restoration and enhancement scheme. This is a shot I took from one of the rear facing bedrooms on the first floor.

This is an excellent glimpse from the Rear Window, Brian.

If it was my pic, I might have been tempted to leave off the extra, white border, as the window has a very fine frame.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ray, you are probably right about the white line.
nicely framed Brian...
is that an oxymoron? grin
....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Could be Peter, thanks.
Love this shot out the window - wonderful composition, Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Elizabeth.

Oh, I love views through windows - a fine image and a nice bench!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine, I often take views through windows in places like this.
I'm still inside moving my fingers over the edge of that wall frame for the window, Brian. smile
Brian Walbey: Nicely old isn't it.
A wonderful sight when waking up! Superb capture Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is a very well looked after garden Richard.
I love this angle, great framing
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chantal, trying something a bit different.
I like your composition and the view.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, it is quite a nice garden.

Now there's an enjoyable scene; just imagine throwing back the curtains each morning and seeing something similar (well, you probably do; I cetainly don't wink )
Brian Walbey: Yes a nice garden to look at but not have to tend. We look out to the cul-de-sac behind the house, could be worse I suppose.
A garden that is large without being unmanageable.
Brian Walbey: Yes a tidy garden, and no doubt plenty of volunteers to look after it.
A window on the world Brian. Who could want for any more than that?
Brian Walbey: Short of looking out on a nice country scene this is quite nice.
It's always worth checking out the windows!
Brian Walbey: I often take pictures out of windows when I visit these sort of places.
