This is quite a beautiful and solid house at the meantime Brian!
Brian Walbey: Yes it is a typical country house turned into a hotel.

Fine architecture & setting too
Brian Walbey: It's lovely Chris, I would like to go there and stay again, perhaps when Maureen reaches 70 might be a good time.
what a great house to live in, I hope they have staff though
Brian Walbey: It's a hotel now Chantal so there are plenty of staff.

Is a lovely place to romance your best gal, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Indeed it is Ray, but whether romancing went on is for you to guess at and me to know smile

A lovely view through the dappled shade, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is Philine, wait till you see tomorrows part of the house though. Sorry Pauline, got your name wrong, I've had a busy day today!
There are some rather nice trees in the foreground Brian.
Brian Walbey: There are lovely trees all over Chad, indeed the outdoor theatre is built in a woodland clearing.

Oh, what a lovely retreat to celebrate your birthday -surely very old merry English as we could enjoy in the IOW!
Brian Walbey: Yes it is Philine, wait till you see tomorrows part of the house though.
Again, the big trees are what I notice. They frame the fancy house quite beautifully.
Brian Walbey: There are some lovely trees around the estate, indeed the outdoor theatre is built in a woodland clearing.
I thought John Entwistle was the Bass player with The Who
Brian Walbey: Must be a relation of his Bill.

Very grand; quite fitting for such an occasion. Looks the sort of place where one dresses for dinner, doesn't one? I'll probably be in a Travelodge with a packet of crisps for my 70th wink
Brian Walbey: Yes it is grand, but in the main people didn't dress for dinner in all the trappings as afterwards we watched South Pacific in the outdoor theatre. Mainly it was what is termed as 'smart-casual' these days.
What a beautiful entrance... I love the big trees!!
Brian Walbey: I have a better picture of the entrance later in the week, you can then see how grand it really is.
