HILLBERRY, ISLE OF MAN

Thursdays posting, which has a link to a short, but beautiful video of the island, was taken at this bend on the Isle of Man TT.course known as Hillberry, although this gives you more idea of the very fast approach before the rider turns in to the sweeping, slightly uphill, right hand bend. With modern machines the approach to this bend is probably in the order of 180 mph. (290 km/hour) before the riders brake to something less to take the bend. Back in the 70’s.I believe the corner speed was about 120 mph (193 km/hour) and with modern technology it is probably now more than that, very exciting to watch the top competitors at somewhere like this.

Very fine image, again, Brian.
I like this shot, Brian. Nice composition. I am going to Thursday's post for the video. I was looking at a bunch of videos on the Isle of Man a while back.
Well captured Brian. That's pretty fast
The ultimate in motorcycle racing, sadly very dangerous but those who ride it accept the dangers
