Felley Priory - April, 2015 6/7

A 'Caturday' picture from me of all people!!

I’m not a great cat lover as you know but I couldn’t avoid taking this shot of the garden cat sunning itself in the window of one of the barns at the gardens.

I love this shot, Brian! She looks so content, and it's great how the cobwebs frame her! I see a bit of your reflection as well... No denying you took this Caturday shot! smile
Brian Walbey: I must admit to weakening for a few moments Elizabeth, I must be getting old, I am getting old, help!!

A fine feline portrait Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris, a moment of weakness smile
she seems to enjoy the afternoon sun
Brian Walbey: She was in a very sunny spot, not for the first time I suspect.

What an fabulous portrait of the cat in the window...love the weathered wood and the brickworks. Have a good weekend Brian and Maureen.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Astrid, I must have weakened for a moment not being a cat fan and all that. Have a good weekend yourselves, we enjoyed a nice meal out for our anniversary last night and the Grandchildren are staying over tonight.

...and, managed a nice selfie reflection, too, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I never noticed that till some of you folks picked up on that Ray.
Wonderful capture of this cat enjoying the sun Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard,I must have weakened for a moment not being a cat fan and all that.
A nice shot, Brian, you have been drawn in....smile

You do not have to like cats to appreciate that they add to a scene. I like this shot. Makes me wonder about his life.
Brian Walbey: Actually our neighbours have a female cat very similar to this one and she is quite sweet, her one fault is using our garden for you know what and not her own, but that's how they work isn't it.
Cats always find the best places Brian
Brian Walbey: It was basking in the spring sunshine Bill.
The rotting window sill and cobwebs make the perfect frame for this garden cat, Brian. I can understand why you couldn't resist taking this shot.
Brian Walbey: I took several but this one seemed the best of the bunch.

Looks like a nice warm place in the sun. Cats know how to find the best places for a spot of sunbathing. I see your reflection, too.
Brian Walbey: Yes this had the afternoon sun bearing down on the window, I don't doubt it was comfortable and warm.
Fine pic, Brian - but you must get treatment for this deplorable personal characteristic of yours - not a cat lover? I think that bars you from participation in Shutterchance smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom. Actually I grew up with a cat in the house as a child but after 'Mickey' died I seemed to go off them. Now I don't mind them to be honest but can't bear to have them on my lap although I will quite happily stroke them, I think that must qualify me to participate in Shutterchance smile
Oh! i like this very much Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter.
I love the old window framing the shot. What a great catch.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Hollie.
