From My 1970's Darkroom (1 of a few)

FEMALE PORTRAIT

Another portrait taken at a St.Neots club studio evening. I really cannot recall this ladies name, but I did like the straw boater and she certainly had no problems coming up with a big smile for the camera. If this lady is still about she would be in her mid 80's.at elast I would think.

She looks like she's dressed up in some Victorian blouse...
Brian Walbey: I seem to think she was Elizabeth.

Mum of yesterday's model, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Perhaps Ray.
A lovely smile she has Brian!
Brian Walbey: She certainly has.
She has a pretty face and a very nice hat Brian....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Indeed she does.

And possibly still smiling like this, Brian
Brian Walbey: Hopefully still smiling but as I said she would be quite old by now.
How lovely, Brian. I guess we all had our day, right? smile
Brian Walbey: I hope wew will carry on having our day for a good while yet Ginnie.

This looks so 1970-ish...this is a wonderful portrait. Wouldn't it be a challenge to find this lady and make another portrait of her??
Brian Walbey: It would be a challenge Astrid, she might even not be with us any longer to be honest.

Nice narrow depth of field - a good portrait.
Brian Walbey: I was quite pleased with the technicals on this one Mike.
You have a pretty large collection by the look of it Brian.
Brian Walbey: About 4 - 5,000 colour slides for starters Chad, loads of monochrome negatives and nowadays thousands of digital images.
I was guessing it was your mom.
Brian Walbey: No not my Mum Mary, she was about the same age at the time which why I suggested she might no longer be with us.

This woman looks exactly like an actress I have seen in a few movies. Would play the role of the nanny or similar. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name.

Anyhow, rest assured you are very capable with portraits ... and other stuff smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Louis. I seem to recall this lady was dressed in clothes from a local drama group so your first comment might be right.
That's a sobering thought Brian. Good portrait
Brian Walbey: It definitely is Bill. Thanks very much.

Funny.. the 1970s still seem like yesterday to me. When I see my musician heroes from that era, I'm always amazed how they have aged. Mind you. they probably think the same about me wink
Brian Walbey: We watched a programme about the Eagles on Sky Arts the other night, they are more or less the same age as us but have weathered very well.
