Eyam Parish Church 7/7

To finish off this three week visit in photos to the plague village of Eyam in the Peak District, I just liked this little gate out in to the lane that runs down by the side of the church, it is also one I might consider using in my club for a competition called ‘Looking Through’ in November, but of course by then something else might well have found itself in front of my camera.

I like the structure and colour of the gate, Brian, but the odd angle of its hanging detracts from its elegance, IMHO.
Brian Walbey: Yes it is a fine gate, no doubt it has been there many years and been opened and closed so many times it needs repairs.
This fence tells a story I bet
Brian Walbey: I think it would tell of being used very many times Chantal and being in need of repair.

I have no doubt whatever the judges would find this picture charming Brian
Brian Walbey: I hope they would Chris, I don't know, as yet, who the judge will be.
Many folk have,no doubt, passed through here Brian
Brian Walbey: By the thousand I would think Bill.
A very nice way to end your beautiful series with this charming gate Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Richard.
I have enjoyed the series, Brian, especially the information that accompanied the photos.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, I sometimes think being able to read a bit of information helps with some pictures, although not all of course.
A fine exit shot for your splendid series Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Janet.
It is inviting, Bryan.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Frank, it's showing its age, sagging a bit like me!
Sorry...Brian! smile
Brian Walbey: Apology accepted smile
It would certainly fit the competition theme, Brian!
Brian Walbey: That's what I thought when I saw it Tom.
