photoblog image Wisbech 6/7

Wisbech 6/7

I really liked this old fashioned style Gents outfitters just off the main shopping centre in Wisbech, there seems to be very little, if anything, in this picture to date it as 2014, except perhaps the fencing, hence the sepia toning.

Fabulous scene, Brian, and your processing fits perfectly.
Brian Walbey: Thanks very much Ray.

Apart from the fencing this could be the 1950s
Brian Walbey: That's how I felt when I took the photo Chris.
sepia sets it back in time
Brian Walbey: Much more atmosphere like this than it being colour I feel.
A wonderful timeless image Brian! Well done.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, it worked just how I wanted it to.
It does have that old fashioned look to it.

Excellent, Brian. Looks like days of the great British Empire. Take away that fence and the sticker on the light and it would be the good old days smile Good choice of presentation.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Alan, I felt it looks old English when I took the photo hence this presentation.
Great composition!
Have a nice week end!

i like the displays in the windows... they are filled with great things... the treatment suites the scene very well...petersmile
Brian Walbey: It's such an old fashioned way of showing the wares in a mans clothing shop, it just looks just like shops did when I was a boy.
Good heavens - I didn't think such places existed any longer!
Brian Walbey: My thought at the time Tom, I thought sepia finish as I took the picture.
