photoblog image Clifford's Garden 1/7

Clifford's Garden 1/7

Where I live there is a very popular elderly gentleman called Clifford who in the late autumn last year opened his garden one afternoon to raise funds for our parish church. He has a lovely garden but with crowds of people there it was difficult for me to take any decent open shots so this week is a number of images of interesting little bits of the garden. There are lots of little garden ornaments like this all over the place. You can see the garden proper, and Clifford, in this amazing and unusual image put together by another of my camera club friends from another occasion.

A garden to be proud of
Brian Walbey: Clifford obviously puts a lot of time and work in to it.
WOW, Brian. What a great place to start. That looks like a Japanese maple?

What a beautiful squirrel sculpture. Nice to support your parish church by this open garden. I visited some private gardens in England. Also in our country we have such gardens to raise funds for charity actions.
Brian Walbey: yes it is a very nice garden ornament isn't it. Clifford has shown what can be achieved by a lot of imagination and effort in a small space.

Nice detail Brian. Your friends picture is great fun!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill. I am not quite sure how Pete managed to do the montage, a bit past my abilities, but at least you can see what a nice job Clifford has made of his garden in quite a small place.

A rather splendid bird bath

Hhah.. it took me a couple of seconds to realise that there were multiple Clifford's in the image on your link! (well, it's been a long day!). I do like the bird bath; so much nicer than an angel-type thing.
Brian Walbey: There is a variety of bird baths and little statues all over the garden.
