Calke Abbey Walk - HDR Style 5/5

It was such a lovely day on 25th.October that we went to the National Trust estate at Calke Abbey, not far from, us and enjoyed a pleasant walk in the park. All the images in this series are ‘proper HDR’ using 3 bracketed exposures, Photomatix Essentials 4.0, Photoshop CS3 and Topaz Adjust. I hope you enjoy the results.

Best of series...a full-blown delight, Maestro.
Brian Walbey: Yes the one I like best also Ray.
Richly saturated colour. I agree with Ray, best of the series
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, it is also the one I like best.

I can be here and sit for hours letting it all sink in.. What a great pictures (yesterday's too)
Brian Walbey: Thanks so much Astrid, this is just one part of Calke Abbey and the estate and parkland around the big house, there is so much to see and photograph there.
Wow, the best of the series Brian! I love it.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, I won't argue with you, I think it is the best also.

What a difference HDR makes to the tonal qualities of these pictures
Brian Walbey: It was a good series of subjects to start off my use of the cut-down Photomatix package.
Another delight to the eyes, Brian. I can just picture you and Maureen enjoying your walk!
Brian Walbey: It was a lovely morning in a beautiful place Ginnie. We did enjoy our walk but took our time as some of it is a bit hilly, good test for Maureen's newest Hip and my iffy heart, both passed with flying colours, thank goodness!
great scenery
Brian Walbey: It is a beautiful area of the estate Chantal.
I have enjoyed this series. I like the wild, unmanicured areas better than the neat and tidy.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mary, I only wish you were able to see all of the parkland, it covers a very large area and varies in appearance quite a bit.

I bet this lake is popular with the waterfowl, too. A lovely view and good lighting.
Brian Walbey: Yes there wasn't much in the way of wildfowl there that day, perhaps the nearby rutting stags were putting them off!

This is brilliant, a real 3D effect particularly in the grasses at the fron
Brian Walbey: Thnaks Anne, it does look a bit 3D at the grass edge doesn't it.

This certainly looks very vital, Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Lisl, my favourite of all those I took on this walk, yes you did read that right, we went for a proper walk, first time for quite a while.

This method certainly helps to get all the detail and tone, just need to not get carried away with the processing, you've done a good job with these.
Brian Walbey: Thanks John, for a first serious go at HDR I'm quite pleased, a few more on other subjects to follow over the holiday period.

I assumer that this is a lace in the park - lovely on a sunny day like this one.
Brian Walbey: Yes not far from the house itself Philine, and handy for the tearoom to refresh oneself after the walk.
