Calke Abbey Walk - HDR Style 2/5

It was such a lovely day on 25th.October that we went to the National Trust estate at Calke Abbey, not far from, us and enjoyed a pleasant walk in the park. All the images in this series are ‘proper HDR’ using 3 bracketed exposures, Photomatix Essentials 4.0, Photoshop CS3 and Topaz Adjust. I hope you enjoy the results.

This is a gorgeous scene, Brian, but there is something about your processing that hurts my eyes...perhaps the HDR has over-popped the picture...
Brian Walbey: I probably should have not done a 'touch-up' in Topaz to be honest.

It's a comforting country scene Brian.
Brian Walbey: It's a very nice walk through the grounds Chad, and on that sunny autumn morning it was really enjoyable.
You have certainly achieved a slight 3d effect there, Brian.
Brian Walbey: I guess I have at that Frank.
What a wonderful scene Brian!
Brian Walbey: This part of the estate is really beautiful to walk through Richard, the highlight of the walk comes on Friday.
Wonderful composition Brian... what a magnificent tree....petersmile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter, some more magnificent trees tomorrow.

I think you should only use HDR in future, except for moving things, Brian - this is a wonderful image
Brian Walbey: Thanks Chris. That is a good idea of yours but I never carry a tripod, these are hand held, and I might get some camera shake coming in, indeed I did with some of the ones I'm not showing.
A fine result Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill, tomorrows I think is better.
Like in a fairytale, I can see an angel on a swing in the tree
Brian Walbey: It is a lovely woodland walk Chantal, a bit like a fairy story.

Not as effective as yesterday's - a little over sharp perhaps. Cannot quite put my finger on it - interested to know your view.
Brian Walbey: I think I should probably have not given this one a touch of Topaz, although it has lifted the colours of the bracken a bit.
Lots to see here. I love the colour of the bracken fern.
Brian Walbey: There is a lot of bracken about in these woods, I think tomorrows picture is perhaps a bit more enjoyable.

Yes, very proper HDR, hardly recognisable - I love this extending tree- and the light- and shadows
Brian Walbey: Thanks Philine. Sadly this was taken over a fence into the Deer Park where the public are not allowed. The male deer were busy find their conquests for the 'rutting' season, which was well under way, across the far side of the park.
