photoblog image Bolehill Farm 4/7

Bolehill Farm 4/7

The rest of this weeks images are pictures I took of the beautiful scenery on and surrounding this farm at which we rented a cottage in June. Looking in a different direction to the two previous postings there are more hills in the far distance but it was this field being carpeted with those lovely display of Buttercups that made me take this image.

All good, Brian, but the foreground is particularly delightful.
Brian Walbey: It was the foreground that I really thought looked good.
It certainly is a beautiful countryside, Brian! Nice shot!!!
Brian Walbey: It is Elizabeth, Frank should bring you to the Peak District one of these times you visit.
Another delightful scene Brian!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, not a difficult thing to find in this area.

Another wonderful view - you could show such an image every day! Inever get tired of them!
Brian Walbey: You can enjoy the Peak District up until Sunday Philine, but from Monday another stately home I bet you've not been to.

The inclusion of the cows is nice too
Brian Walbey: Yes quite a few of those. the people who own the farm run the holiday cottages but the man on the next door farm actually does all the farming on his and the owners land so the cows are not there's, if you get my meaning.
gorgeous country sight
Brian Walbey: One of the most beautiful areas of England Chantal.
Very pretty indeed.
Brian Walbey: One of the most beautiful areas of England Mary.
Love that shot - lovely depiction of summer
Brian Walbey: Thanks Ian, I couldn't stop taking pictures that morning, this farm we rented a cottage on is so well situated.
Love all those buttercups Brian. Another glorious scene
Brian Walbey: Thanks Janet, the Buttercups made a good foreground.
Gorgeous, Brian - it's ridiculous that all this stuff in on my doorstep and I haven't been out with my camera!
Brian Walbey: Thanks Tom. I guess with all your travels abroad you feel like resting a bit when you are at home.

I guess you both had a very restful time here, Brian
Brian Walbey: Sort of Lisl, we were only there on a Monday to Friday stay so most places we went were only a few miles away and involved gentle strolls and visits to churches quite a bit. Quite by accident I ended up visiting four churches in one day, I shall have to be careful not to bore you all with them.

It just shouts summer, Brian. I bet its a very different scene today.

I don't know if you use Facebook (yes, it's not just for the socially-inept under 25 year olds) but there is a chap called "Villager Jim" that posts amazing photos from the Peak District almost very day - wildlife mainly. He;s been on TV, too. Worth looking at.
Brian Walbey: I guess it wouldn't look quite like this today although round our way the rain packed up mid morning and it has been quite a pleasant day. I'm not on Facebook, SC.is enough for me, but I've found his website which I am going to enjoy when time allows, but I did have a quick look in his Peak District folder, I think the apt word is 'WOW'
Another very pleasing shot Brian
Brian Walbey: Thanks Bill.

This one really sparkles Brian.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Mike, the light was really good that morning.
Such a peaceful scene, lovely clouds adding a lot.
Brian Walbey: Not a sound to be heard from where this farm is situated Martin.
Some fine views of a lovely old town and beautiful countryside, Brian. We know it well. Glad to hear your presentation went so well and look forward to seeing more of Ian's impressive pictures.
Brian Walbey: Thanks Graeme, this is a lovely area of the Peak District. Ian is posting some interesting pictures for his starting collection.
