Superb detail, it is just knowing when these events are on.
Brian Walbey: I found this for 2014 http://welldressing.com/calendar.php Martin, presumably it is updated each year.

These are lovely examples of well dressing, Brian.
Brian Walbey: Isn't it just Richard.
I am so glad you are showing this up close. What a feat! It must take a long time to do this. I would love to see this in person.
Brian Walbey: They do take a long time to make, and it is usually done by a team from the village/town from the planning right through to its completion, what a shame there is a great bog ocean between you and these things to stop you seeing one for real.
It is very clever and it is good to see the tradition carried on

Your series has brought back memories of living in Derbyshire and going to visit well dressings at Tissington. My dad was vicar of Barlow when I was in my 30s and I remember him being involved with the well dressing there
Brian Walbey: I seem to remember visiting Tissington on one occasion when we visited the area. I guess local vicars are involved because in general the dressings depict something religious as far as I can tell.
Lovely detail Brian. Same kind of impact as a stained glass window

Oh, beautiful, colourful fishes - a great dressing!
Brian Walbey: Lovely isn't it.
They do put an amazing amount of work into them!
Brian Walbey: I think it takes a team of people quite a long time to put one of these together Tom.
