Foxton Locks (6/7)

Whilst we sat outside the tearoom at the top of Foxton Locks, Leicestershire, this family sat down to enjoy their picnic lunch at the table on the other side of the canal. We were delightfully entertained by the dog who just sat there like this looking very patiently and expectantly at the gathered group in the hope they would spare him/her a few morsels off the table, which they did of course.

The dog feels it is his right as a member of the family to share in a few rewards - and this is how it should be
Brian Walbey: I quite agree Chris although we've not got one but our daughter has.
Great candid capture Brian! The dog seems being patient...
Brian Walbey: Thanks Richard, he was very patient, no getting up on the table, he just sat and waited for his titbits.
They can bore their eyes right into you until you succumb
Brian Walbey: He/she was so good I suspect this might be a familiar ritual.

You've mentioned that word "teashop" again. Still, it matters not now as I'm home and all the teashops I need now smile I like the dog very much; eagerly waiting to be given a sandwich or something.
Brian Walbey: No doubt in your area, very touristy, you are surrounded by teashops. The dog was very well behaved, no begging it just sat there very patiently.
Was there an awful lot of drool accompanying the beseeching look, Brian?
Brian Walbey: I don't think there was Pauline, I suspect this is a very usual situation, it was very patient.
I like the hopeful dog!
Brian Walbey: He/she was great Tom, very well behaved.
Sometimes they shuffle on their front paws to remind everyone of their presence. Lovely candid Brian
Brian Walbey: This one just sat there very patiently, I guess it knew something would be forthcoming.
I love shots of animals begging - they are so precious!!
Brian Walbey: This dog was really great, I think I could have been tempted to take he/she home, no perhaps I couldn't, too much bother.
