Hmmmmm

Doesn't look like burned toast...
I really like the colour image.
Looks good, Brian, I like the sky.
Brian Walbey: The sky has converted quite well hasn't it.
it's a wonderful image Brian... even for a dull day you captured nice reflections on the water... and the clouds add a whole new depth to the picture...smile

that is what i said about the coloured image... and it's the same for the in monochrome....smile
Brian Walbey: Thanks Peter.
My vote goes to the colour version Brian!

It certainly lives up to its name Brian
Brian Walbey: As I said with the colour version I felt the garden was a bit bereft of colour wit not much in the way of flower beds.

You said that the water widens out Brian.
Brian Walbey: yes a large lake to the left behind the balustrade.

Too much overall sharpness for me Brian.
Brian Walbey: I think the Topaz might have done that Mike.

To be honest, I love the English green garden landscape - but the sky looks quite more dramatic.
Brian Walbey: I agree that the sky is probably the best part of this conversion.

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, a good day out. Lot of blanket weed on the pools when we went which rather spoilt the scenes and reflections.
Brian Walbey: Yes definitely a good day out John, as youc ans ee the water was beautifully clear the day we visited.

This has a completely different feel to it,Brian, it could almost be somewhere else, though I know that is impossible
Brian Walbey: Indeed it does Lisl, although it is the sky that has converted the best I think.
Great in B&W!
just stunning Brian... amazingly captured!
The sky works well but otherwise I don't think this benefits from b&w Brian
Brian Walbey: I am more or less in agreement with that sentiment Bill.
