LATHKILL COTTAGE

We found a delightful farm cottage to stay in for our Peak District holiday in June at Bolehill Farm, just a few miles outside Bakewell, and I have no problems with recommending it to anyone. There are eight cottages in all and ours was called Lathkill, after the famous dale just a short drive/walk away. The owners are lovely people, the cottages have all you could possibly need, and they also have excellent wi-fi on site as well. More details are available here

What a delightful plave Brian! I certainly would follow your recomendation.

Brian Walbey: Just the place for you and Frank to spend some quality time together in the lovely Peak District.
I hope you got a commission for this advert, Brian! smile
Brian Walbey: I didn't Ginnie, but I certainly have no problems with reccommending the place.

and a good cream tea for sure - this might be the ideal cottage for Alan to rent for his holidays following the coming holidays after having finished the present holidays!
Brian Walbey: Alan has so many holidays doesn't he. I believe he does know the Peak District area quite well, he said he had used the tearoom where I took yesterdays picture from several times, and there are plenty of tearooms near these lovely cottages.

This looks idyllic, Brian. I am always concerned about noise when there are more than one holiday cottage on site - did you have any noise problem?
Brian Walbey: It is in a very nice position Lisl, and while we were there it wasn't noisy at all, very quiet indeed, mainly walkers and cyclists, although I guess there might be children in the summer holiday period.
very fresh green, well kept grass too
Brian Walbey: Altogether a very nice place to stay Chantal.

It has the lot Brian.
Brian Walbey: It certainly does Chad, and it's set in a very nice position.
Looks delightful Brian
Brian Walbey: It is Bill, just a short distance from Bakewell in one direction and Monyash in the other, with Lathkill Dale a short walk, for the fit one among us, just across the fields.

Looks like a lovely spot, Brian.
Brian Walbey: It is Tom, we very much enjoyed our stay there, hopefully we will go back next year, we still have a few places to visit in the area.

It look idyllic Brian, I will certainly make a note for future reference
Brian Walbey: One persons likes are not always everybody's but I'm sure you would enjoy this place if you like nice surroundings and peace and quiet, except perhaps in school holiday times.
