A Birmingham Day Out 2/21

CLOCK TOWER

Across the street from the Broad Street buildings I showed yesterday is another old place with this delightful little clock tower on one end of it. It is now the Reflex pub, which also appears to be some sort of nightclub, open only from 8.00 pm.to 3.00 am., definitely not the sort of place people of my advancing years would be likely to go to, still I did like the clock.

Brian Walbey: A bit early in the day for me Peter, but it being a Sunday it might not have been open at the time we arrived anyway.
Excellent angle, Brian!

This is a fine piece of city architecture
Brian Walbey: Indeed, sadly I can't find out anything about it.

Not a clubbed then, Brian? wink Me neither, even when I was of that age. I like the background for this.
Brian Walbey: It's not my cup of tea these days Alan, and being Sunday morning I presume it was closed anyway.

What a background - but the fine clock tower holds its ground for ever! "Three fine rainwater heads". I can see the crown of the former Crown Inn.
Brian Walbey: A mix of the old and new again, I prefer the old clock myself.
Ah, you tell us that, Brian....smile
Brian Walbey: Mid Sunday morning Frank, probably not open anyway.
love the colours here Brian! The background complements too!
What a lovely piece of architecture Brian!
Brian Walbey: Well I feel the clock is Richard, not sure about the thing in the background.
A handsome Victorian building Brian
Brian Walbey: Indeed bill, spoilt by the thing in the background.
